Growing Young Minds

Planned community initiative

Helping young minds flourish.

Every child deserves the tools to learn and the opportunity to grow. Nature Nest intends to explore educational support for children in surrounding rural communities.

Our hope

Growing a stronger community begins with nurturing its youngest minds.

“At Nature Nest, we believe that growing a stronger community begins with nurturing its youngest minds. As our project develops, we hope to work with local schools, families and partners to support practical learning opportunities and access to essential educational resources.”

The goal is to contribute to better learning opportunities, educational access and awareness of agriculture, nature and sustainability — always in partnership, and always with respect for the dignity and potential of every child and family.

Proposed educational support

What support could include.

Subject to partnerships, funding and community needs, the programme may include:

Learning resources

  • School supplies
  • Exercise books
  • Pens and stationery
  • School bags
  • Basic educational equipment
  • Learning materials
  • Access to books
  • Support for suitable digital learning resources

Workshops & activities

  • Educational workshops
  • Environmental awareness activities
  • Agricultural learning sessions

Farm visits

  • Visits to the Nature Nest farm
  • Practical learning about plants, animals and food production
We are not promising computers, internet infrastructure, buildings, scholarships or permanent teaching services. Anything beyond the items above would need to be separately approved and funded.

Future Farm Learning Days

Planned

Learning where food grows.

We would like to welcome children to the working farm for practical, supervised learning days on:

Where food comes from

How plants grow

Responsible animal care

Water conservation

Soil and compost

Biodiversity

Environmental stewardship

The value of farming as a profession

A community-led approach

Designed with the community, not for it.

Programmes should be designed around identified local needs, not assumptions about the community.

Nature Nest intends to engage with:

  • Local schools
  • Parents
  • Teachers
  • Community representatives
  • Educational professionals
  • Suitable public authorities
  • Responsible charitable and development partners

Our safeguarding commitment

No activity involving children will begin until appropriate safeguarding, supervision, parental or guardian consent and child-data protection procedures are in place. These will include:

  • A written safeguarding policy, reviewed by people with relevant expertise
  • Appropriate supervision, with checks for adults working with children
  • Parental or guardian consent for every child taking part
  • Child-data protection procedures, collecting only what is necessary
  • No photographs of children used without proper consent
  • Close cooperation with schools and the relevant authorities
